This book suffers from both protagonists being unlikeable and having zero actual character development and from odd pacing. The story itself should at least be captivating but is often hampered by plenty of flashbacks. I found the final showdown underwhelming. There are some good ideas in here but at times it felt like a chore to get through to me.
