The Body

Audiobook - The Body is an extremely informative book, it is a complete anatomy and physiology class. Plenty of useful and interesting information. It felt heavy on names, dates and history but I'll chalk it up to being comprehensive and shining light and credit to all the scientists and doctors who worked hard to advance the field.

It's not a guide but rather a good book about the history of medical science. It reveals a lot of misconceptions about deceases and treatments that are commom sense even between physicians (part of them, I hope) and shows how badly US performs in health care compared to other industrialized countries.
