What a waste of a conspiracy. This is nearly Return of the Sith bad when it comes to plausible reasons to be cartoonishly evil.

If you've started and like train wrecks, by all means...it's fun to rip apart. If you are curious, just stop and go watch any supernatural horror TV show, it will be better.
