Cecilia Gentili

Cecilia Gentili (she/her) was an Argentine-American trans rights activist, actor and sex worker. She was known for her role in the TV show Pose, as well as her direct service through Apicha Community Health Center and GMHC in NYC. Cecilia’s memoir, Faltas, was published in late 2022 by Little Puss Press, Inc. Here she compares and contrasts her experiences of transphobia in Argentina and the U.S. After her death in 2024, the Cecilia Gentili grant was launched in her honor.
