This collection of early works has some good short stories and some rough ones, but it's a fascinating snapshot of Charles de Lint improving his craft on the way to becoming an undeniably influential fantasy writer. I found the Bordertown stories the most engaging, but his science fiction stories were a welcome step into different territory.
