A seemingly invincible alien ship humanity calls "Faith" has returned, 300 years after it destroyed the Sakhran Empire. History seems to be repeating itself as the ship reaches Sakhra, now an important part of the Commonwealth. But this time an Outsider ship with its crew of miscreants and sociopaths just might be what the Commonwealth needs to destroy Faith.
