Mr. Acton reviewed Alive at the End of the World by Saeed Jones

I just finished my first read through. I will proabably read it again before returning it. In this poetry collection Saeed Jones lets us follow him through a winding journey through grief for his mother, black and queer bodies, his own identity, culture being commodified without paying the original artists, the hidden identities of icons. I often hopped online to read the stories behind many of the poems, which were as fascinating as Saeed’s poems. Highly recommend.
