A collection of essays and personal reflections chronicling the author's growing understanding of the nature …

As far as Christian self-help books go this is one of the better ones. As an atheist now this is about one of the only books I read while i was a Christian that I think holds any real value. At worst it’s teaching Christians to be more open and tolerant.

John Eldredge: Wild at Heart (2001)

As a former Christian and now atheist I oddly don’t hate this book. It was like a lighthouse for me when i was a Christian drowning in the church. It’d be obviously mocked by any modern hip lefty atheists (ie people like me), but overall his message to men is a welcome one of responsibility and ownership.

J.K. Rowling: harry potter the deathly hallows (2020, Mary kate)

This book is a departure from the rest. Things aren’t following the same school year cycle. Everything is upside down. They’re adults here with adult responsibilities. The guard rails are gone. Shit is serious. I dunno how she wrapped this up satisfyingly but she did.
