Set up more like a philosophical allegory than a true science fiction story, which I liked. It cuts through the usual expository beginnings and explanatory endings and just leaves you with the feelings in between. Watching Silo right now, so this feels like it goes hand in hand.

Got a decade-old used Kindle for cheap and am reading this with my library card. I feel like I'm entering a whole new era.
